Kay Campbell
Vice President, Health & Social Policy
As a vice president at Burness, Kay Campbell brings more than 15 years’ experience in strategic communications, media relations, writing, and project management. Kay leads a variety of projects at Burness, including work on behalf of the National Children’s Study, the Health Resources and Services Administration, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Northern Virginia Health Foundation.
Prior to joining Burness, Kay was an account director in the social marketing practice at Ogilvy Public Relations, where her clients included the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development—including the National Children’s Study—the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
Before Ogilvy, Kay helped develop and promote award-winning materials for the National Cancer Institute as a health communications specialist at NOVA Research Company in Bethesda, Maryland. She received a master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Allegheny College.
Kay is native to the DC area. When she’s not working at Burness, she can be found taking photographs and entertaining her two-year-old twins.
