It’s easy to say that climate change has been in the news. Skepticism seems to finally be declining, as more and more people accept both the science as well as what they see is happening to the planet. Yet the next step is always the toughest—how to translate that science into effective public policy that can stem the tide of global warming.

Burness has deep roots in publicizing environmental issues and advocacy, starting with efforts to halt the deforestation of tropical forests around the world, clean air and water, and biodiversity conservation. Our work has ranged from local stories to the 2014 United Nations Climate Summit, but has always highlighted the stewardship of people and our planet’s resources, focusing on how solutions are always within reach.
