Preeti Singh
Vice President, Global
Preeti joined Burness in 2000 and has since become a leading global health communications strategist. She advises organizations such as the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Bloomberg Philanthropies, International Partnership for Microbicides, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Medicines Patent Pool, PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative and TB Alliance on how to advance their issues globally.
She has led press operations at major scientific conferences such as the Multilateral Initiative on Malaria meetings held in Africa and the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene annual meeting. She is also an expert in clinical trial communications, having helped release late-stage trial results for drugs and vaccines for three diseases: malaria, tuberculosis and meningitis.
Her deep knowledge of the global health space has enabled her to create a network of journalist contacts spanning the globe—from Johannesburg to Berlin to New Delhi to New York.
Before joining Burness, Preeti studied at the University at Albany and worked for a nonprofit organization serving the neurologically disabled. She lives in Bethesda with her dog Emma.
