Jemma Weymouth
Vice President
As a vice president at Burness, Jemma Weymouth brings expertise in strategic communication, media relations, training and writing to projects with foundations including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; nonprofits and research institutes, such as the Health Care Cost Institute and the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review; and government agencies, including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Centers for Disease Control, and The Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues.
Prior to joining Burness, Jemma was a senior associate at Metropolitan Group, working with non-profit organizations, foundations and public agencies on a wide range of issues, including health, education, immigration, and community and economic development. Clients she worked with include W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the YMCA of the USA, and the National Council of La Raza. Jemma has also worked for the Capital Area Food Bank, assisting with marketing, public relations and special events. Before moving to Washington, D.C., Jemma provided communications, public relations and marketing services to consumer and corporate projects in the U.K., which included promoting smart growth real estate development and retail destinations.
Jemma earned her bachelor’s degree in media, culture and society from the University of Birmingham, England. When she’s not in the office, Jemma is hiking, biking and generally enjoying the great outdoors.
