Megan Salzman
Senior Coordinator, Health & Social Policy
Megan Salzman joined Burness Communications in May 2014 as a Senior Coordinator on the Health and Social Policy team. She provides communications support through media and social media outreach, event planning, and research and writing for clients, including the National Children’s Study, Institute for Patient- and Family- Centered Care, Health Care Cost Institute, and Low-Income Investment Fund.
Prior to joining Burness, Megan was an Online Advocacy Associate at Families USA, a national nonprofit organization focused on improving access to high-quality health care. During her two years there, Megan developed social media strategy, helped them manage the organization’s blog, and created long-term digital campaigns. Prior to joining Families, Megan was as an intern at The Education Trust and The Center for Community Change.
Megan graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2011 with a major in cognitive science and a minor in marketing. During college, Megan studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, where her studies focused on positive psychology and international marketing. Megan enjoys cooking and traveling in her free time.
