Max Hedgepeth
Coordinator, Public Health
Max is a Communications Coordinator for the Public Health Team and the program administrator for the Frank Karel Fellowship in Public Interest Communications. Max joined Burness in September 2014 after graduating from the School of Communication at the University of Maryland.
Max is involved with several Public Health projects, but focuses primarily on the County Health Rankings and Roadmaps and Culture of Health Prize for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and its grantees. He’s also played a role in the launch and growth of the Montgomery County Food Security Collaborative, which strives to significantly reduce hunger in the county by 2020.
Prior to joining Burness, he was part of the special events team at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, and worked in marketing and communications for Discovery.
Outside of work, Max loves exploring D.C., seeing new places, meeting new people and trying new foods (not necessarily in that order). He’s a huge D.C. sports fan and loves supporting his Maryland Terrapins.
