What Counts for America

Work with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco

When our friends at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FRBSF) asked us to help build a website for their latest book, What Counts: Harnessing Data for America’s Communities, we saw three things: ambitious goals, a tight timeline, and a challenge that we couldn’t pass up. As the second book in a series focused on how we can build stronger communities, we knew that both this book and the website would be a valuable tool for changemakers across the nation.

Our team jumped into the project, building a powerful WordPress site based off a modified theme to showcase the book’s compelling content in a highly visual and accessible way. We designed custom graphics to represent the complex themes addressed in the book. And then we armed the social media teams at FRBSF and their partners at the Urban Institute with customized graphics for social media, resulting in a cohesive campaign across platforms.
