Dr. David Borsook MD, Phd, a world-class neurologist and neurobiologist at Harvard and Boston Children’s Hospital, is passionate about reducing suffering in children with pain from migraine  or traumatic injury to the brain.  He is a leading researcher in the use of technologies like fMRI to discover the causes of pain. Children’s brains are particularly vulnerable and he is eager to find solutions.

Just like all researchers today, finding grant funds to continue his work is paramount. He knew he needed a clear message and brochure to share with potential funders. Burness created the starry brain image and designed the brochure that he and his colleagues continue to use to explain the importance of their work.
