Announcing the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement

Work with the Tyler Prize

For more than 40 years, the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement has been recognizing top experts in environmental science, environmental health and energy for efforts to advance environmental conservation and preservation. As one of the oldest and most prestigious environmental prizes, Tyler Prize Laureates join the ranks of environmental trailblazers like E.O. Wilson, Jared Diamond, Paul and Anne Ehrlich, John Holdren and Jane Goodall. By providing these experts with no-strings-attached cash prizes each year, the International Tyler Prize Executive Committee seeks to elevate leaders and highlight and support their work.

Each year, Burness produces video profiles on the Laureates that are shared with media and shown at the annual awards banquet. Burness coordinates interviews with the winners and peers, policymakers, and past laureates to produce compelling vignettes that bring to life the importance of each Laureate’s work, its impact and a bit of the Laureate’s personal story. Watch this video profiling the work of 2015 Tyler Prize Laureate, Dr. Jane Lubchenco, Distinguished University Professor and Advisor in Marine Studies at Oregon State University and former Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
